Kolkata: After the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Excise Policy corruption case, now BJP has started turning its gaze towards West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as well. State BJP President Sukant Majumdar has said that soon Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s turn will also come.
Sukant Majumdar has written a dialogue in Bengali, the Hindi translation of which is – No matter how much you cry and wash, after the muffler it is now the turn of slippers. Muffler is used symbolically for Kejriwal while Mamata Banerjee uses slippers.
In fact, the central agency has already dragged the name of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the case of Alchemist, the chit fund company of former Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP KD Singh. In the statement issued by the central agency ED, it was said that the investigation of money laundering in the Alchemist case is going on.
Many assets of the company have been confiscated. The investigation revealed that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had used the helicopter on Alchemist’s finances for her election programmes.
Many Trinamool leaders had used it. Apart from this, central agencies are also pointing out some connections of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in other cases including Rose Valley and Saradha Chit Fund.
Meanwhile, such claims of the state BJP are in the headlines in the state politics. The special thing is that before the Lok Sabha elections, the central agency is in full action mode. Within 50 days, Chief Ministers of two states of the country have gone to jail.
These also include Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Apart from this, veteran South Indian leader K Kavita has also been arrested in the Delhi Excise case. Therefore, now that BJP has made such a claim about Mamata Banerjee, it is being considered important in Bengal.
